These terms cover apps published under the developer name ZoneFiveZen ("I," "me," "my"). By downloading or using any of my apps, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language because legal boilerplate helps no one.
Using the apps
You may use my apps for their intended purpose — in MorningLock's case, that means shielding apps during a morning window and journaling to unlock them. Don't reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the apps. Other than that, they're yours to use as you see fit.
Subscriptions and payments
Some apps offer paid subscriptions or one-time purchases through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple ID.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me. If you need a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Free trials
If a free trial or limited access period is offered, the duration, what remains accessible after it ends, and any price required for continued access will be shown before you confirm. A paid subscription only begins if you explicitly purchase one through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
What the apps don't do
My apps are provided "as is." I do my best to keep them working well, but I can't guarantee they'll be bug-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device configuration. I'm not liable for any damages arising from your use of the apps — including, but not limited to, missing an alarm because your apps were shielded, or writing something in your journal you later regret.
Your content
MorningLock: Journal entries you write belong to you. They are stored on your device and are never transmitted to me or any third party. I cannot access, read, or recover your journal entries. If you delete the app, your entries are gone. Back up your device if you want to keep them.
Apple's role
My apps are distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not responsible for the apps or their content. Any claims related to the apps — including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property — are my responsibility, not Apple's. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, I'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the apps after a change means you accept the updated terms.
